That’s exactly what I was thinking when I first tried doing some push-ups and pull-ups at my house. Let me tell you the story…
I wasn’t born muscular at all
Back in 2015 when I was in High School I weighed only 57kg (125lbs). I really hated my look.
I felt intimidated by all these lucky guys with great genetics, getting all the girls’ attention and being great at sports
I even remember being bullied at school because of how small and weak I used to be. I was feeling embarrassed, I had no self-confidence and zero respect from my colleagues…
The pain was almost unbearable so I had to make a change
I knew I need to get bigger so I gave weightlifting a try
How it turned out? Well…


After 3 months at the gym, I realized it was not for me. I was wasting my time and not getting results

The gym was always packed with ripped people who would always occupy machines for ages. Guess it didn’t make me feel any better about myself and took sooo much time to hit the workout
In fact, I wouldn’t call it a proper workout
I didn’t really know what to do and I was always wondering if I was even doing the exercises correctly.
I thought there has to be a better way
So how I found it?
It was in my 2x2m room where everything changed for me
Sick and tired of the horrible gym experience I decided to try something new
I bumped into some Instagram posts about calisthenics and it really caught my interest
I felt inspired by all these crazy movements that I saw and started wondering how it is possible to look that great and be able to perform such incredible bodyweight exercises at the same time
I didn’t think too much and just gave it a shot
At first, I was struggling even with the most basic exercises but surprisingly I started seeing some progress. At home. With almost no fitness equipment.
Encouraged by that, I decided to hit a local calisthenics park and see what can be done there
I liked the fact that there were only a few people training. Among these people was one, advanced athlete who seemed especially friendly and helpful. That one guy that would always show up to training.
